Starting in 2023, employees of our company in Germany can lease a bike of their choice inexpensively.
“You can pick out the bike you want at a trusted retailer, who will then fill out the leasing request,” Maike Heinzelmann from Erbe Mobility Management explains.
The lease payments are subtracted from the employee’s gross salary on a monthly basis. Thanks to tax incentives and social security benefits gained from the salary conversion, job bikes are quite attractive in a financial sense.
“At the end of the lease term one has the option of acquiring the bike on favorable conditions,” Heinzelmann says.
