For the Intellectual Property Department of our Tübingen location, we are seeking
Patent Engineer (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
- You identify, monitor, and evaluate internal and external technical developments (patents, trademarks)
- You conduct and protocol patent discussions
- You guide development projects with the aim of recognizing potentially protectable items and processes
- You respond to official notices and handle correspondence with lawyers, appeals, and complaints
- You process invention disclosures while taking into account the rights and obligations of the German Employee Inventions Act (ArbEG)
- You analyze and evaluate self-developed and third-party products for potential patent infringement
Your Skills
- You have a degree in patent engineering, natural sciences, or engineering, ideally with a focus on electrical engineering or medical engineering
- You have several years of professional experience in protecting property rights
- You have a prudent, structured, and thorough approach
- You have a good command of spoken and written English
- You possess persistence and assertiveness
- You have very good communication skills
